Where I do like it over MP3Tag is I find the interface is a bit faster to edit tags with just keyboard. ![]() I really dont know if this is a MB problem, or Win 10 issues, or even trouble accessing my NAS (where my tunes live). I've also noticed a bug when writing tags to DSD Wavpack, this is not present in MP3Tag. I ended up using PerfectTunes and manually deleting because MB also freezes up when I try to delete files from the program. I've tried to suggest that this needs access to tagging databases like dbpoweramp, but the author doesn't think it needs it. It serves the same function as MP3Tag and it doesn't have access to any of the databases, it is a manual tagger only. PerfectTunes- I don't think this is worth the money. My file names usually include the catalog number or barcode of the album, so it didn't like that much. I also used the album art repair function. Choose the tag from the 4 presented, or make your own. On the other hand, there is a site that appears official, and wants 143 for the complete package. I tried the tag functionality on PerfectTunes - it uses 4 different tag sources (I can't remember all 4, but one was Discogs). My take is that one could obtain similar, to better abilities by using the free (with contributions requested) MP3Tag program, or using several media/music players. There appears to be many sites that offer it for free, but to find the proper link seems to be a headache, and it seems very easy to make a mistake and download something that might mess with my computer. Using this interface I am a bit faster at fixing tags compared to foobar2000.įoobar2000- has access to FreeDB. By comparison the ID Tag portion of PerfectTunes is rudimentary. Since it can access all four it's often just easier for me to re-rip a CD and get tags from those databases than edit them in one of the below programs. I'll post mine:ĭbpoweramp- not technically a tagging app, but so far this is the only one I have found that has a wide access to the tagging databases- Discogs, GD3, Freedb and Music Brainz. ![]() Please recommend any music tagging apps you like.
